For the CMA Awards to successfully make it to this benchmark of 51 years is something to celebrate. But let’s be honest, between all the award shows, sometimes the “Red Carpet” looks can become a little predictable. Not this year, there were a few ladies who came to be BOLD! Let the countdown begin.
5) Lea Michele in Zuhair Murad
Lea Michele kicks off the count down with a fun designer gown that has all the bells and whistles – literally! Some might say that the feathery arms are “doing too much” but I say it helps pull the look together. By Lea having her hair slicked back in a simple low ponytail and paring the gown with a classic pair of Giuseppe Zanotti’s heels, it centers your focus to the gown and the naturally beat face done by Meredith Baraf (MUA).
4) Ruby Rose in August Getty Atelier
If you’re familiar with Ruby Rose, then you know she was basically born BOLD! On this years CMA Awards Red Carpet she continued the Boldness in an August Getty Atelier gown. From the shimmer and the sparkles to the backless action this look is enough boldness to carry us into next year’s CMA Awards.
3) Meghan Linsey in Johnathan Kayne
Meghan Linsey’s photo doesn’t give this gown its true praise. Johnathan Kayne must have placed some kind of magical pixie dust on this piece because when Linsey walked the red carpet ALL lights were shining on her! This is a BOLD look that takes confidence to pull off and Linsey has it. The gown is complimented by her deep side part in her hairstyle that allows the choker to be a true statement piece – Job Well Done!
2) Lauren Alaina in Victor Zerbinato
Lauren Alaina came so close to the number one spot! This Victor Zerbinato piece has been around for some months. Although it’s not new its elegance allows for this gown to be worn at any time for the right occasion. This is the definition of a timeless piece. Zerbinato put his own spin on the ‘plunging deep V’ neckline that paid off tremendously for Lauren. It can be very tricky to wear red on the red carpet but Laruen has this BOLD look down!
1) Carrie Underwood in Fouad Sarkis
Of course, if you’re hosting an award show, you have to be BOLD! Carrie takes the classic ‘deep plunging V’ trend and accompanies it with the ‘off the shoulder’ style in this designer piece by Fouad Sarkis. The subtle hint of the train triggers a look of ‘Drama’ without being too intense. Carrie kept the looks coming as the CMA Awards’ Host, but this look really demanded the number one spot!
While the 51st Annual Country Music Awards are now in the history books, we will continue to enjoy the trendy fashion designs throughout the impending award season. Hats off to our TOP 5 BOLD LOOKS of the night!
